St. Andrews State Park Campground Camp Store provides beach bike rentals. You can use the loops and park roads to ride the bike, as well as the 2-mile paved trail that winds through the park. It's an excellent way to see wildlife from the park, including deer. Two easy and short hiking trails give visitors a close view of coastal scrub habitats, and native pine forest.
There is one outstanding thing to do in Panama City Beach Florida. Shell Island is located at the south end of the long stretch condos and resorts that line Panama City Beach's white beaches. This island is across from St. Andrews State Park and offers a breathtaking slice of Florida coastline for outdoor enthusiasts and beach lovers.
Snorkeling is good around the St. Andrews State Park jetty, and excellent out on Shell Island. Habitats range from sand bottom, to shallow grass flats, to the rocky faces of the jetties. Expect to see tropical fish, crabs, rays, and if you are lucky, a sea turtle or some of the resident bottlenose dolphins. If you don’t have your own gear, snorkel equipment is available for rent at the Jetty Store, or get it as part of a complete package along with Shuttle tickets on a Shell Island Snorkel Tour.
Pick up and drop off is approximately 2.2 miles from the State Park docks. It will take approximately 15 minutes to get to our dock on the island.

Shell Island is a nature preserve with no restrooms or any other visitor facilities such as trash receptacles, picnic tables, or shade pavilions. There is no trash removal service. Island visitors are asked to be responsible and take everything they bring to the Island with them when they leave.
Shell Island is technically only an island at high tide, and although the land is privately owned, the footpaths across it are open to the public.
Shell Island is on the west coast of Wales about 7 miles north of Barmouth. There is a road leading to there that you drive on, but at certain high tides the sea covers the road.
